Contact and corrections

DMV Path is an informational website, not a DMV office or customer-service desk for any government agency. Contact and correction requests are most useful when they identify the affected DMV Path page, the official source that should be used, and the exact rule or wording that appears outdated or unclear.

Corrections and content updates

The best correction request is specific and source-based. A general note that a page is wrong is harder to act on than a note that includes the DMV Path URL, the official agency URL, and the sentence or section that should be changed.

  • Include the DMV Path page URL where you found the issue.
  • Include the official DMV, court, public safety, revenue, transportation, or federal source that supports the correction.
  • Mention whether the change affects documents, fees, deadlines, appointments, online services, eligibility, or agency contact instructions.
  • If the issue is local, identify the state, county, court, office, or vehicle type involved.

Questions DMV Path cannot answer

DMV Path cannot access government records, look up a personal case, schedule appointments, process payments, reinstate a license, issue a registration, cancel a ticket, or confirm whether a specific visitor is eligible for a credential or transaction.

  • For account-specific questions, use the official agency link on the relevant state page.
  • For court deadlines, citation status, warrants, or plea options, contact the court listed on the citation or official court site.
  • For insurance, tax, legal, medical, or immigration questions, consult the appropriate professional or agency.
  • Do not send sensitive personal information to DMV Path.

Privacy-conscious feedback

Correction requests should not include private records. DMV Path does not need your full driver license number, Social Security number, vehicle title number, payment card, medical record, immigration document, or court case paperwork to review a public-source correction.

  • Use public official links instead of screenshots of private accounts whenever possible.
  • Remove personal identifiers before sending examples.
  • Do not submit documents that belong to another person.
  • Use official agency contact channels for transactions involving private records.

How to reach us

Send correction requests and coverage suggestions by email. For anything involving a personal transaction, deadline, payment, or private record, use the official agency link on the relevant state page instead, because DMV Path cannot access or act on government accounts.
